Grazevine is a wine and cheese companion app. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The Grazevine app has no accounts and no logins. It does not ask for your name, your email, or your location. Your menus and shopping lists are stored on your phone, not on our servers. We do not have servers that hold your content. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
The only personal information we ever hold is an email you choose to send us, which we use only to reply.
This lives in your phone's app storage. It is removed when you delete the app. We cannot see it, and it is not backed up to us, though it may be included in your own iCloud or Google device backup, which is controlled by your phone's settings, not by Grazevine.
If you choose to save an event to your calendar, Grazevine asks your permission first and then writes that single event to the calendar you pick. It writes only what you asked it to write. It does not read your existing events, and it does not send anything from your calendar anywhere.
You can withdraw calendar access at any time in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working without it.
The catalogue of wines and cheeses is built into the app itself, so browsing it sends nothing anywhere.
Photographs are the one exception. They are fetched from Wikipedia's public API, run by the Wikimedia Foundation. When the app loads a photo, that request reaches Wikimedia and, like any internet request, includes your device's IP address. We do not send them anything about you, we do not attach an identifier, and we do not tell them which user is looking. Their handling of that request is covered by the Wikimedia Foundation privacy policy.
If your phone is offline the app still works. You simply see branded tiles instead of photographs, and no requests are made at all.
Grazevine Premium is billed by Apple, not by us. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier for your installation, along with purchase and device information supplied by the App Store. It does not receive your name or email, and we never see your payment details. Apple handles payment and does not share your card information with us.
This website has no sign up forms, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising. Like any website, the company that hosts it, Netlify, processes your IP address in order to deliver the pages, and the page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. We do not receive or keep any of that.
If you email us, we use your address only to reply, and we delete the conversation on request. We do not sell, rent or share it.
Grazevine contains no third-party analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no social media tracking pixel. There is no cross-app tracking, so the app does not ask for tracking permission.
Grazevine is about alcohol and is rated for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Because we do not collect or hold personal information about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. To erase everything Grazevine has stored, delete the app from your phone. To cancel a subscription, use your App Store account settings. Apple manages billing.
If you are in Australia, this policy is intended to be consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are in the UK or EU, our lawful basis for the limited processing described above is our legitimate interest in operating the app you asked to use.
